How would you describe your athletic experience at Gustavus?

Many of my fondest memories and friendships were formed on Gustavus’s athletic fields and facilities both as an active participant and spectator.  Those fields and facilities were an integral part of my life as a child growing up in St. Peter, and as a Gustavus student.  They include basketball camps in Myrum Fieldhouse, bowling in the old game room, tennis, Lund Center, Willie Lindquist’s “office”, football practice and games at old Hollingsworth Field.  Great coaches too like Dennis Raarup, Steve Byrne, Gregg Roberts, Jay Schoenebeck, Barney Lewellyn, Tom Thorkelson and many more.

What motivates you to financially support Gustie athletics?

I’m inspired by the teammates, coaches, friendships and memories I have of my time at Gustavus and to support the opportunity for future generations to experience the same.

How would you encourage others to give to Gustie athletics?

There are many worthy causes in the world, but I’d encourage people to remember their time on the Hill and suggest that that’s worth supporting.

Anything else you would like to add?

Go Gusties!

How would you describe your athletic experience at Gustavus?

Life shaping experience that one can be proud of.

What motivates you to financially support Gustie athletics?

It’s a way of giving back.

How would you encourage others to give to Gustie athletics?

Are they proud of what they contributed back then and are they proud of what Gustavus stands for.  As for me, everything I have today (wealth, life-long friends, etc.) attributes back to Gustavus.  I owe it all to former hockey coach Don Roberts.
